No amount of prep can perfectly orchestrate a week-long casino shoot—but a crew forged in run-and-gun filmmaking can.
"Project Experience" for Royce Hotel & Casino was an absolute endurance run. The goal was straightforward but massive: capture everything the property had to offer and elevate the visual experience to its absolute peak. I directed the video team through a brutal, multi-day schedule that ran parallel to a photo campaign, requiring us to cover almost every inch of the hotel and casino while keeping the energy high.
The biggest hurdle was the sheer scale of the logistics. Shooting outside Metro Manila with a massive roster of models meant orchestrating a non-stop, highly complex dance of moving parts. While our prep and oculars laid the groundwork, we really had to rock-and-roll it most of the way. Huge credit goes to the assistant directors for flawlessly swapping models and the producers for holding the logistical nightmare together. Thankfully, I was working with the same battle-tested crew from our Xiaomi Travel Series, proving that when the schedule gets chaotic, a team that knows how to adapt on the fly is your greatest asset.
